Family and Friends

We both come from big families and although we live far away, we stay connected by speaking to them many times a week and getting together several times a year. Between us we have nine siblings and 13 nieces and nephews and we treasure our visits with them! Each summer, Tony’s family rents a huge house on the New Jersey shore, where all his siblings and their kids spend a boistrous, crazy fun filled week. Throughout the rest of the year, we make other trips to visit Cynthia’s very large and spread out family in Colorado, New Mexico, southern California, and Texas where we always add in a visit with Ben’s birth family.

We are lucky to have many friends with small children whom we see often to share a meal, have play dates and go on excursions to the zoo or the Children's Discovery Museum. We also belong to a very close knit open adoption community. We have enjoyed getting together with other families formed through adoption and have also gotten to know many members of their children's birth families.
